Seer Porichathu (Fried Fish)

A reddish fried whole fish, darne or fillet with a crispy coating of fragrant spices. It is not chilly hot but can be made to your taste of fiery hot, medium or mild.

1.    Seer Fish                           
2.    Kashmiri Chilli powder     
3.    Turmeric powder              
4.    Ginger garlic paste                     
5.    Lime juice (Optional)        
6.    Salt                                    
7.    Oil

Method

1.    Clean, cut and wash the fish.  Grind the spices together to a paste. Apply to the fish and put it aside for some time.(If desired add lime juice to the masala mixture).

 

2.    Shallow fry in oil and serve hot.

 

3.    Garnish  with  sliced onion salad.
