Crab Marari

Crab meat stir fried with the fresh spices and moistened with thanipal ( the first extract of coconut) stuffed back in the shell and garnished.

4.    Black tamarind (Garcinia) Infused

1.    Oil
2.    Mustard    
3.    Curry leaves          
4.    Small Onion slices 
5.    Dry Bydagi chilli crushed   
6.    Garlic cloves         
7.    Ginger Julienne      
8.    Coconut milk        
9.    Pepper crushed

Method:

1.   Remove the top shell, clean, boil and keep aside.

2.   Boil the crab in turmeric, black tamarind water and salt.

3.   When the crabs turn orange in colour, transfer them into cold water (this helps the flesh

      to harden). Remove the shell and take the crabmeat.

4.   Heat oil and sauté mustard, curry leaves, small onion, chilli, garlic and  pepper one by

      one.

5.   Stir in the crabmeat, sauté until crisp. Add coconut milk. Remove from fire. Fill the shell

with crabmeat. Serve hot as a starter or a main course.
