28th March, 2005 All Commissioners of Customs Mumbai/JNPT/Chennai/Cochin/Kolkata/ Kandla/Tuticorin/ICD Ahmedabad/Petrapole/Bangalore Sir, In our Circular No: MD/CHI/01/03 dated 07.03.2005, submission of Analytical Report issued by Spices Board to the effect that the export consignment does not contain Aflatoxin beyond acceptable levels was made compulsory with effect from 10.03.2005 with respect to shipments to EU, USA and Middle East destinations and with effect from 01.04.2005 with respect to other destinations.
The submission of Analytical Report to the effect that the consignment does not contain Aflatoxin beyond permitted limits, as per the Circular dated 07.03.2005 will be compulsory for all consignments of chilli/chilli products destined to EU, USA and Middle East as well as [additionally] Australia and New Zealand.
In case of shipments of chilli/chilli products to other destinations, only Certificate [as per our earlier Circular No:MD/CHI/01/03 dated 09.09.2004] to the effect that samples have been drawn from the export consignments by the Spices Board/authorized agency need be submitted at the time of clearance till 15.06.2005.
With respect to chilli powder/chilli products and products containing chilli, Analytical Report from the Spices Board to the effect that the product is ?Sudan free? is compulsory for all destinations with effect from 10.03.2005 as per Circular of even number dated 07.03.2005.
